Mindsets Are Ensnaring Tens of Thousands to The Streets
Time to Turn North
Introduction
The goal of the Series, the AI Data Blog Set, was to highlight and show the unbreakable link between data, information and pre-conceived mindsets and how they harm the most vulnerable among us. We are currently being hammered by the government and the media to think in a given and certain way regarding the homeless, and it is very dangerous.
In this final and closing blog, I am taking a step of deep faith that we can still turn, and turn north and shake off what the media, the government, and even the heartless think tanks are designing against the homeless and find our hearts and compassion again. Not free handouts without accountability, but a balanced hope-based return to humanity and reality of the true need among our most vulnerable.
I ask you to take time and go back through the blogs, look at the data, read about the suffering, the struggling population that is exploding on the streets, where do you stand, where is your heart, where is your mind set right now? Here is the final question: do you understand how easy it is for homelessness to knock on your door and for you to become one of ‘them’ and for you to fall victim to those horrible mindsets?

An Opening Word
Deuteronomy 2: 3
You have roamed around this mountain country long enough, turn north
Matthew 25: 38 to 40
And when did we see You as a stranger and welcomed and entertained, or naked and clothed You? And when did we see You sick or in prison and come to visit You? And the King will reply to them, Truly I tell you, in so far as you did it for one of the least (n the estimation of men) of these My brethren, you did for Me.
Data For This Discussion
We are not covering anything, but a critical review, and proving why we Must Turn North!
775,000 homeless souls on the streets and that is a low estimation
187,000 shelter beds short, but they can be ticketed and fined
Age 50 and up is the new average for the first-time homeless person.

It is Time to Face Facts
What is a caveat, and how does it play into changing our thinking about the homeless and how they are trying to stay alive right among us?
Homelessness is insolvable, caveat:
It is, if we stay on the current course. As we have read in the previous blogs, the blame game, the homeless person is at fault, the numbers are right, the money is there, they are mentally ill and addicted. If we stay with those mindsets, the homeless puzzle will never be solved, but the caveat is:
There are deep systemic failures that have been ignored and must be dealt with. And the focus must be turned away from the individual and personal shortcomings. No one person can bring themselves up out of homelessness on their own.
Homelessness is Insolvable, caveat:
It truly is if we stay on the course we have been charting for the past 10 to 15 years. The course of gentrification, NIMBY, not allowing shelters, old building conversion, and the like. Inflation and rent increases are not fiction; they are real and there is a problem with people staying in housing, but we are not told the truth. Mindsets, remember, mindsets, us versus them, they, them, not us or we, housing is an earned right, but what is the caveat:
Housing and the current, sustained unaffordability of housing is one of the primary drivers of homelessness. Whether you are a supporter of housing first programs or not, without housing, you cannot end homelessness. This is a well-known and well-established truth that must be used to bust up mindsets that are populating our streets.

Homelessness is Insolvable, caveat:
The mindset and attitude that the homeless get too much help, too much free benefits, handouts, and the like is what we are told. Even the truth is that there is never enough to help those struggling, suffering, and dying on the streets. The PIT Count is sending mixed messages and feeding Mindsets. We have grown more comfortable with them vanishing, thanks to Cicero and other Think tanks and governmental laws. So, what is the caveat to this mess:
It is called linking. Just like in the old-time toy we played with as kids, Legos, link one block to another to build a structure that stands the test of time. Instead of using the hails as the catch-all for the homeless, why not rebuild the links of shelters, food, health care, mental health, and housing, to see what a difference that it could make? It would require the destruction of mindsets and rebuilding new ones, ready for that journey?

The Ostrich Syndrome
This is the end result of the mindset game that they want to do, stick your head in the ground and ignore everything, believing that there is nothing that you can do and everything will only get totally worse. Remember from our blogs that mindsets are many, varied, and from different origins, and they are formed over time, but often have one fore-ordained designed outcome. The outcome they want for you regarding the homeless is total surrender and to give up, just so that they can do as they have planned for years.
The ostrich has one single defense weapon, if it is not running away, its feet. They are known to kill lions with their feet. So, if you are not running from newly formed convictions that what is happening to the homeless is morally wrong, will the powers that be start kicking at your thoughts, ideas, hopes and dreams for the homeless? As a metaphor only, closing shelters, shutting down food pantries, gentrifying neighborhoods, passing harsh Quality of Life Crime laws, and making it difficult for compassion and mercy to operate? That kick is not natural, but it can in fact kill your drive and desire to stand up for the most vulnerable and make you accept their false mindsets.
That kick that comes at your heart, your soul is intended, for it must unsettled, and tear down the remnants of compassion and decency before it can install the required mindset building blocks. Just as no one starts out being a racist or think that the alternative marry lifestyle being forced on America is normal, most do not think that refusing compassion to the vulnerable is acceptable. And that thinking is a threat to Big Brother, and Think Tanks and because if you are compassionate, caring, concerned, you are not conformed to their mindsets. You dodged the ostrich, congratulations.

The Deadliest Game in the Nation
I know that those are weighty and heavy words to use in a blog regarding the homeless and the mindsets being formed against them and interventions for them, but it is the truth. The Deadliest Game in the Nation is the Blame Game. If we can continue to confuse, mislead, and weary each other with pointing fingers and the mindsets that we are handed, no one would dare consider stepping aside to help the homeless.
As we have discussed in earlier blogs, the blame game, the name-calling, the refusal to accept consequences, is not accidental; it is part of the overall game to get you to shut down and give up. The greatest fear the Think Tanks and the government have is an involved, caring, and concerned group of citizens who will not accept the mindsets any longer. It is not a direct attack, they build you this pretty house, a card house, and show the benefits and goodness of thinking like they do, convince of the correctness of their ways. They do not show you that with one gust of wind their house is gone.
We, as a nation, have come to depend on and accept Big Brother, the government, as a kind and benevolent friend, and this is a dangerous trap for all, even those who will never know homelessness. The government does not care about the general citizen; if they did, there would be no Big Brother established within the government. No, I am not selling out to conspiracy theories; I am just saying that Big Brother likes the homeless being homeless, it is easier, makes more money, and requires fewer answers.

Cost Prohibitive
Studies are beginning to show that the costs of keeping a chronically homeless person on the streets, prohibitive
On the other hand, to house and to support a homeless person trims the expenses
But the mindsets are designed not to allow the common human to see this truth
What about the expense of forced commitment, treatment, jail versus housing first and trying to take the humane approach, first?
The government and NGO’s do not want solutions; they want more money, no matter the human cost
And this is not even going into the weeds and bringing up the most important of all, the mindset of moral duty to the most vulnerable
This nation has strayed far from being our brother’s keeper while being the world’s police enforcement agency, good pantry, peacekeeping force, and the like, while Americans are suffering, please explain
Remember the fairs and side shows many went to see when we were little, the mannequin that a man of lady held in their hand made ‘to talk’ seemingly by magic? No one thought to look to the human manipulating the puppet, but if you follow the logic the people of America are listening to news programs and talk shows and the like who are nothing more than this puppet of old. The goal, control the news, information and ideas, and form mindsets, that is all, that simple.

Ancient Boundaries
Mindsets were at one time set and settled on biblical foundations and truth and thus were able to be used to stabilize one’s life and course of action, and interactions. However, through the years, through the switching of allegiance from sound Christian and family values to trusting Big Brother, we have had our founding beliefs undermined, and that has allowed the eroding of foundational mindsets.
Now protesters and paid bad actors have entered the scene, appearing to be of the people and for the people, but they are paid for by those that want normal done away with and to move the boundary lines. They are sent to insight, to anger, to arouse, to make one mad, and in that a lot of quick, rapid fire decisions are made that appear to be good are made, but when the fires cool off the wickedness can be seen. Such as demanding as all street camping be ended and the homeless forced into camps, and at the end of six months, where do they go? The mindset they want is this, they are removed, out of sight, the old mindset, we are our brother’s keepers.
Conclusion
Mindsets form a lot about who we are, what we accept and do not accept, and how we roll with life, and often they are mindsets that we have not fully formed on our own. We get them from our family, teachers, co-workers and especially the news. However, we must be careful when blankly accepting mindsets, for they inform our behaviors and that can be negative.
If the mindsets we operate with cause to engage the Ostrich Syndrome, we are in trouble. The Ostrich often does one of two tricks to self-protect, head in the sand or use the fatal kick. So person A believes in helping the homeless, but you begin to overwhelm with information contrary to that result. That person will at first ignore, head in the sand, and if you make the mistake of continuing, you will be in trouble. Not all can be made to give up on the homeless, that person may figuratively give you an Ostrich kick to leave them alone.
The blame game, moving the ancient boundaries are all things that occur quietly, sneakily and without great fanfare, but they happen through the engineering of the mindset adaptation through news, media, and data overload. It was never intended to be tis way, with hundreds of thousands homeless or near homeless, but America got too big for her own god and the experts showed up and started engineering a different America, and now we need to Turn North and make a radical change before a potential collapse comes.
The collapse is not merely pending for the homeless, it is housing, food, utilities and living wages, how long till your family member faces homelessness?
