San Diego Decides to End Veteran Homelessness

No More Homeless Veterans, Has It Happened?
San Diego, in the wild child state of California, states that they have plans to approach zero homeless veterans, are they? Here are my thoughts, this is a moral failure on a national level that must be dealt with, how do we not honor their service?
Disclaimer: in the main article there are a few comments that the writer makes that I do not agree with, but in the bulk of the article I do agree with.
Introduction
We have military personnel that have served in wars globally and some come home and return to civilian life, but not all. Where the rubber meets the road is the disgrace and dishonor shown to these brave fighting men and women where they are allowed to suffer and go through homelessness. This is unacceptable and as you will find out, there is no action plan to move forward on

Let’s look at His word as we start today
1 Corinthians 9: 7
Who serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat its grapes? Who tends the flock and does not drink the milk?
V10: Surely, He says this for us, doesn’t He? Yes, this was written for us., because whoever plows and threshes should be able to do so in the hope of sharing in the harvest
What say you…

A veteran, young or old, wounded or not, female or male, trained to defend and protect the constitution of the United States, comes home damaged and is left to defend a patch of cement while they suffer homelessness….
Illegals, puppies, kittens, the little fish in a far off stream, the fox that prowls, and the bird that flies at night all get funding for protection, but the soldier does not, explain that to me, please

The Tyranny of No Compassion
Men and women, often just leaving their teen years hear the call to duty and and answer and enter the armed services, and that means war and travel and duty overseas. We are not fighting the wars and battles of the World War 2 era, these battles are different and tougher. But many go on to fight with distinction and honor for this nation. Many are wounded, physically and mentally, and some do not come home. And for many the toughest battle is not overseas, but here at home trying to readjust after serving.
The tyranny of No Compassion is this, you served, you fought, you may have suffered, but when you come home, we will make you no promise that you will return to civilian life as free of complications as possible. You are nearly on your own for that final transition. I mean, after all, you are not a soldier, airman, or marine anymore, right? Tyranny, we must allocate resources for the illegals remember.
San Diego states that they have plans to reduce the homeless veteran count to functional zero. They are working on programs and ideas, and planning, but what are the details of the implementation? With overall homelessness climbing, how can this group be isolated and reduced? PIT counts are never accurate, how many veterans are on the streets? PIT: Point in Time Counts.

Robbing Peter to Pay Paul
San Diego Decides to end veteran homelessness, where did the funding suddenly appear from? California has some of the highest across-the-board numbers in the nation and then suddenly, we are going to end veteran homelessness. Makes you wonder while they are planning all of this, what are they deleting, and taking away, and who is going to be hurt to help Peter while robbing Paul. You cannot do both, not enough money, who get blessed, and who gets kicked to the curb?
There has not been an all-out attempt to end a given group of homeless people before this, the article even mentions this, but even with the moral importance of no veteran left on the streets, where is the funding coming from, and what is the critical lynchpin for ending homelessness? Housing alone does not work, it must be a specific package and housing is part, where is the money coming from? The military has a role to play and yet their voice is silent in the article, are they Peter or Paul?

Three Strikes, Go To The Streets
Wounded, often with PTSD, at times coming home addicted, at times coming home in a state of grief, mental health issues, and crisis, and these men and women are expected to transition to everyday, normal, American life. The article on ending Homelessness for Veterans in San Diego does not mention how they assisted anybody but the addicted, so how did they end homelessness? They left to serve and protect the whole and many came back whole, but many did not.
A veteran returns home with a unique set of skills and training and is not cut out for just any job and work site and it can make it hard, but it also should be opening doors for them. Nowhere in the San Diego report does it state that job opportunities are being engaged for the veterans, or that industries are being tapped for them to enter. So, their unique skills become as trash and they are allowed to waste away pushing a broom or stocking shelves or sitting on a park bench.
I know with ‘regular’ homeless that drugs, alcohol, and mental health issues add a layer of ‘well it is their fault or problem,’ does that happen with the veteran as well? This is why the idea of three strikes, and you are out, the homeless roulette is not easy or compliant, veteran or not, and one must wonder how San Diego is handling it.
The stereotypes allow people to say it is their fault, they brought it on themselves, and they cannot be helped, what about the veterans and what they have been through, is it the same for them? But, again, they are still in the planning phase, and heaven only knows how long that will take.

Manipulated Numbers, Differing Stories
Down 50% in the years 2021 to 2020 is the bold statement made in the article and then it is stated that a concentrated effort was made to drop it another 11%, focused only on homeless veterans. While about 700 veterans remain homeless in the county of San Diego. Compare that to another article that states that overall veteran homeless rates are on the rise nationwide by about 7.4% for all veterans. Numbers or a county official, who do you believe?
While doing some reading for this article, I stumble across the Veterans Affairs Bureau and a report that they are handling money and billing and the like for ICE. Immigration, for the illegals, why are they involved in that when funding for veterans is hard to come by?
They state they they are only a billing party for the ICE agency and no money changes hands, it is the federal government, really, no money. $451 Billion earmarked for the illegals and then we wonder why veterans and regular folk are homeless without hope, immoral, and dishonor beyond words.
Manipulated numbers, the nation counts the homeless on one single night in January, across the nation. Whether it is 75 degrees outside or 10 degrees below zero the count is carried out. The homeless know when the count is coming and they vanish, many are afraid and scared and do not want to be part of the numbers game and the fake help from the government. But from this massively undercounted number of humans they allocate funds, delegate programs, and make others disappear and have no thought of consequences.

Dishonor Sowed; Destruction Reaped
Let’s say that San Diego achieved long-term success in ending homelessness for Veterans, but what about other cities and counties across this nation? The overwhelming dishonor shown to returning veterans since Vietnam is a disgrace to this nation. To then allow one single veteran to live, suffer, struggle, or die on the streets should be seen as a national shame to this country and it is not. When solutions are possible, not ideal, but possible, why do we choose to sow dishonor?
The bible is very clear, that which you sow is that which you shall reap, there is simply no avoiding that truth. This nation has sown many, many years and seeds of dishonor and disrespect to our fighting forces, here and overseas. The harvest is just now beginning to poke its head through the sandy ground of a shaking nation. But as we embrace the illegal and turn our back on the returning soldiers, we deepen the harvest of terrible consequences. God is not pleased with the behavior of this nation; the spoilers are about to be released.
Conclusion
The tyranny of no compassion is this, the parades and promises with the medals and awards, and when you return home, total emptiness. It you cannot or do not transition well you are left to struggle, why, the illegals need help right now
San Diego County gives off its inflated numbers of how few veterans are left on the streets. Conflicting with the Department of Defense stating an overall increase. Then the reason for the word game is discovered $451 billion earmarked for illegals, not veterans.
In the article you read about Point in Time Counts, they are a one-night, once a year count of all homeless across the United States. They are conducted In January no matter what the temperature is and the homeless know they are coming and many hide. They hide because they do not trust who is coming and are afraid of being found and the related consequences.
Finally let me state this, through this article and many others, we are reading that this nation is turning from citizen, the veteran, the disabled, the elderly to serve, protect, and care for the illegal, immorality will never stand, and America is in trouble
CTA…

Answer this,
Is a veteran worthy of care, shelter, and compassion more than an illegal who immorally enters this country with an unknown objective and steals from this nation…..Answer that
Housing, safety, and intervention given not to our fighting men and women nor to our wounded warriors but divided up in meetings, commissions, and town halls, is that compassion…Answer that
Finally, why are we funding nation after nation and their agendas that do not impact the well-being of our nation and in that we are suffering and hurting our own, including military veterans, Answer That…
